September 7, 2010   The FCGA's primary mission is to provide junior golfers the opportunity to secure valuable college scholarships. The FCGA offers two comprehensive programs aimed at accomplishing this mission.  FCGA Member News CONVERY TAKES HIS GAME TO THE NEXT LEVEL October 07, 2009 SHANE CONVERY (Class of 2010 - Raymond, IL) is finishing his high school golf career with a mission. Tuesday, Convery shot 74 to win the Nokomis Regional and lead his team to a Regional Title. Convery's hard work this summer led to a successful senior season. He has an under-par scoring average of 34.25 and has earned medalist honors in every match he has played. Although Convery is focused on a State Title, he is also ready to take his game to the next level. Convery made a verbal commitment to accept a golf scholarship at Division II golf powerhouse, Florida Southern, next fall. Convery will sign a National Letter of Intent with Florida Southern in November, and he is excited about heading south to continue his career. Convery chose Florida Southern over several Midwestern Division I schools because of FSC's dedication to golf, the opportunity to play for a National Championship and the program's ability to produce professional players.
