The FCGA's primary mission is to provide junior golfers the opportunity to secure valuable college scholarships. The FCGA offers two comprehensive programs aimed at accomplishing this mission.

RODGERS EARNS ALL-AMERICAN HONORS
December 17, 2009

FCGA MEMBER, PATRICK RODGERS (Avon Indiana - Class of 2011) has experienced great success over the last several years at the local and regional levels. During 2009, Patrick eleveated his game, and his hard worked produced success at the highest level of junior golf.

Last month, Patrick earned 2 of the highest honors awarded in junior golf. He was named an Scholastic All-American by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA). Patrick also earned AJGA Rolex 2nd Team All-American Honors. On the course, Patrick finished in the top 10 at the U.S. Junior Amateur, and shot 66,67 to qualify for the U.S. Amateur Championship. Patrick also had top finishes at several major AJGA Invitationals. Many people are aware of Patrick's ability on the golf course, but his excellence in the classroom helped propel him to the Scholastic All-American award. Rodgers maintians a stellar 4.63 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and is currently ranked 2nd out of a class of 603 students.

For his accomplishments, Patrick was also named the 2009 Indiana Junior Golfer of the year.
